Our Club

What we do

Club rides

We operate weekly club rides out into Essex, Hertfordshire and sometimes beyond on Sundays almost every week (unless it’s Christmas Day or the weather is truly apocalyptic).

Please read the club ride FAQs

Guests are welcome to join a club ride to see if Lea Valley CC is suitable for them, but you must sign up via:RIderHQ
Group A:
19 mph to >20 mph chaingang
Group B:  17 mph to 18.5 mph
Group C:  15-16mph and a no-drop policy
Social: A gentler pace (maybe 13-14mph), no-drop – doesn’t always follow the same route as A/B/C groups.

Club Kit

Our kit is coordinated via an online shop, with 2-3 kit windows throughout the year. Members will be notified via email when the kit windows are open.
Members can  order items direct from the online shop, these will then all be manufactured and shipped directly to you. Delivery is expected 4-6 weeks after the kit window is closed.

Women's Cycling

We understand that it can be daunting coming into a male-dominated arena so we run an open monthly women’s ride which caters for those new to the sport; all we ask is that you have a bike suitable for road riding and a reasonable degree of fitness to get you round 35-40 miles.

The speed will be determined by the slowest rider and no one is left behind. There is a café stop towards the end of the ride.

If you'd like to join us for a ride please get in touch!

Racing

Lea Valley CC participates and organise a number of races throughout the year, and our club members are active in variety of disciplines including - road & crit races, time trials, hill climbs, track racing, cyclocross and ultra endurance races.

Lea Valley CC is affiliated with British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials, as well as London Women’s Racing, and Eastern Counties Cycling Association.
